BACUSA.org
As an active member of Bangladesh Association of ChicagoLand (BAC) - a membership-based, non-profit, tax-exempt organization without affiliation to any political parties in Bangladesh or in the US, founded by Dr. Fazlur R. Khan, I've developed a web site BACUSA.org to provide better community service through online. One of the biggest advantages of the site is that the users can now be able to renew their membership and become a new member by submitting the online application form. The site has local news, classifieds and special activities at BAC, and information about Bangladesh with various useful weblinks. I've started working for this site from December 1999 and updated and maintained the site as a Webmaster since then. This is a 100% volunteer effort that I'm providing as a part of my contribution to the Bangladeshi community in greater ChicagoLand area and abroad.

DePaul.edu
Description: Design, prototyping and evaluation of e-commerce web sites. Context of usability in the project development life cycle. User/task analysis with emphasis on the first time and the infrequent user. Content organization. User testing with low fidelity prototypes. Issues of perceived privacy and security.
My Role: Worked as a facilitator while redesigned the DePaul CTI web site concentrating on the content related to procedural issues encountered by the users.
Tools used: FrontPage 2000 for HTML editor, Paint Shop Pro 6.0 for graphics and layouts and Dynamic HTML using JavaScript. Since the end product was only a prototype, we've used the same contents of the current web site for our redesigned site.
After we've tested the newly designed Web pages with at least five users, we've communicated our findings in a report form. The goal of the report was to describe strengths and weaknesses in the prototype and to suggest actions for improvement.
Click to see a PowerPoint presentation of our final deliverables to the instructor and students as a client and audience.
